Can I buy the hardware without a subscription?
Yes, you can purchase the hardware without a subscription plan.
Do I need a paid subscription in order to get automatic updates?
No. Zonbu updates are free of charge.
Do I need to use Zonbu's online storage?
You can switch to the opensource edition of the OS at any time and not use the online storage at all.
Can multiple units share the same subscription plan?
No, each unit needs its own subscription in order to use the online storage. Note that everyone may have a limited amount of online storage free of charge.
Do subscription plans include internet access?
No. Please see the “Internet” section of our FAQ on Zonbu services for further clarification.
If I purchase a device standalone, am I still covered by a warranty?
Yes. One year of limited warranty is included with all devices, whether or not you're a paid subscriber. You can purchase an extension to three years in our online shop.
If I change the software or operating system on the device, am I still covered by the warranty? How about if I modify the hardware?
Yes for software, no for hardware. The warranty still applies if you change your device's software configuration. Any modifications to the hardware itself void the warranty, however.
Does the Zonbu support European voltage?
Yes, the power adapter of the Zonbu supports any input in the 100-240V, 50-60Hz range. However, you need to have a plug adapter, which can be found at most electronics stores.
