If your device suddenly stops working, you should perform a hard reset to clear out the device and hopefully fix the problem.
A hard reset clears the cache on the Compact Flash card, where recently used documents and settings are stored. If you're using the online storage, everything in the cache is automatically backed up, so you don't have to worry about losing anything (make sure everything's backed up before performing the reset). If you're not using the online storage, however, be sure to backup anything in the cache to an external drive, otherwise all that data will be lost.
Turn off your Zonbu.
Press the power button on the Zonbu.
Immediately start repeatedly hitting the Esc key during bootup until you see the screen shown on the right. If your Zonbu boots as usual, turn the power off and try again. Depending on your keyboard, you might need to hold the Esc key instead of hitting it repeatedly. Try both methods if one doesn't work.
Press the down arrow once to highlight Hard Reset, the second option, then press Enter.
After a few seconds, a warning message is displayed. Read it, type yes, and press Enter.
Your Zonbu will reset and boot.
If you use a USB keyboard, you may not be able to reach the menu by pressing the Esc key. If that's the case:
Make sure your keyboard (or its wireless receiver) is plugged into the USB port in the front of your Zonbu device.
Most USB keyboards are shipped with a USB-to-PS/2 adapter. If so, use that adapter to plug the keyboard in the PS/2 port at the back of the Zonbu device. A PS/2 port/plug is circular, often purple, and has several holes/pins in the center.
If neither of those work, try to dig out an old PS/2 keyboard and use that.
