Kiosk Edition Installation Instructions

The following procedure will activate the Kiosk mode on your Zonbu.

1. Login with the username and password that were provided with your Zonbu. If you want to change that password, do it now. Keep this password in a safe place as it will be required to de-activate the Kiosk mode.
2. Press Alt-F2. A window pops up with a blank line. Type sudo /usr/bin/PCoR/kiosk/kiosk_edition.sh, and press Enter.
3. The Kiosk mode wizard will ask you a few questions. For example, you can define the home page of the web browser.
4. Restart the Zonbu.

Notice that you no longer need to login when the Zonbu starts. Also, some applications are removed from the start menu.

Now, the Zonbu will stay in Kiosk mode, even if it is rebooted. All documents and preferences are erased when the computer is turned on to ensure that it stays clean for your visitors. We advise to restart the Zonbu on a regular basis to make sure that this cleaning process is performed.

If you want to quit the Kiosk mode, follow exactly the same process. You will be asked for the password of your Zonbu account. Then you must reset you Zonbu as explained here.
